As an international student with an F-1 visa, you must apply for employment authorization to work outside of your campus.
If you attend an academic institution that grants credit through “Curriculum Practical Training” (CPT) for international students participating in an internship in the area of their major, you are highly encouraged by SEO Career to pursue this option. Your academic institution issues the official forms and authorization. A copy of all completed forms with an official endorsement by your International Student Office on the I-20 form must be sent to SEO Career via fax at 646-435-0673 or emailed to email@example.com.
If your academic institution does not grant the CPT option, you must apply for your Employment Authorization Document (EAD) from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) by using 10 weeks of your “Optional Practical Training” (OPT) period. Seek the support of the International Student Office at your school for application procedures. Please be aware that it can take approximately 120 days to receive the EAD card from the USCIS so you are encouraged to begin the process early.
You must send a copy of your work permit to SEO Career via fax at 646-435-0673 or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as you receive it in order to legally participate in the SEO Career summer internship.
Please note that you will not be able to begin your internship without the proper work authorization.
